With the introduction of this new standalone WDF-based driver, we decided to remove native support for the legacy stack from Windows 8.

All legacy 1394 instructions 1349 installing are on the first link below, but I’ve written out in case they aren’t obvious.
So I bought the Vantec FireWire board referenced in this thread. I think I might have found something. Any hints for me? The time now is I am not a computer guru so I can give no explanation.
