Senate expected to debate Net gaming ban plan

The Senate is today expected to debate a plan to prohibit Australian Internet casinos from operating overseas.

The Federal Government’s online gaming bill would ban Australians from accessing locally-based Internet casinos.

The Senate is to consider an amendment that would extend the ban overseas.

It would allow other nations to ask the Federal Government to ban Australian Internet casinos from operating in their country.

Democrats’ Senator Lyn Allison supports the plan.

She says many countries, including Denmark, Canada and parts of the United States, are considering taking up such a ban.

“We should leave it up to those countries to determine whether they want our service providers or not,” she said.

It is understood the proposed ban will be supported by the Government, the Greens and other Democrats’ Senators. More about Situs Judi Slot Online Terpercaya
